The PayTrace API will always return a response when it receives a request. The response will either contain one or more Error messages or a Response value with zero or more miscellaneous values depending on the requested method. In the event that PayTrace's system is not available or your network connection is offline, a response containing any case of ""COMM ERROR"" or ""COMMERROR"" indicates that the request was not processed due to a connectivity issue. Also if a request contains characters such as — which can be used for cross scripting, the string will be blocked by our firewall and you will not receive a response code but be directed to a Blocked firewall page.
Please note that responses and errors may change periodically, so it is important to review this page for updates.
